After Samobor treat we are off to Plesivica wine road-the region of green hills and valleys wrapped in vineyards and small family wineries.
ITINERARY
Morning departure from Zagreb at 8.30 am.
Hal hour drive to reach our first destination – The Medieval Town of Samobor. This cute little medieval town is like a town-museum. Each house, square or street tells its own history. It is especially known for its Cremeschnitte cake, Mustarda, Bermet liquor, crystal and most fun of all for its attractive carnival festivities in February.
Upon the tour of the old town we are going to visit Samobor crystal factory where you will get to see crystal cutting presentation. You will get to see a rare skill nowadays – hand made cut glass. These masters have been passing their skills from one generation to another for centuries.
After Samobor we are going towards Plesivica wine road where we are going to enjoy its beautiful countryside landscape with green hills and vineyards, its chalets on each hill and most of all its fabulous wines. Some of Croatia’s best sparkling wine is produced in these parts . We shall have wine tasting at one of the well known local wineries so prepare your taste buds for some extraordinary feeling.
Expect to return to Zagreb by 5 p.m.
