Zlatni rat – the most beautiful and uniquely shaped beach on the Adriatic
Brač is the largest island of the central Dalmatian group of islands and the highest among Adriatic islands with 778 meters. Besides the beautiful nature and unique beaches, Brač is widely known for its unique white stone that was used to builed many famous buildings such as Diocletian’s Palace , Šibenik Cathedral but also Vienna and Budapest Parliament houses and the most famous one – The Whitehouse in Washington.
During our stay on the Island we shall visit the old stone masonry school, the local organic soap producer- where you will have the chance to see soap making and last but not the least the famous beach Zlatni rat – the most beautiful and uniquely shaped beach on the Adriatic.
ITINERARY
Departure from Split with a 9.00 am ferry from the Split Harbor Pick up at the place of your accommodation at 8.00/8.30 am. Either with a vehicle or your guide will meet you there, depending on the accessibility of the location. Arriving the Island of Brač at 9.45 am and driving towards Postira to visit Mr. Joško’s local soap factory -Brac fini sapuni- that produces finest soaps from indigenous herbs and plants. The tour of the factory with the soap making presentation.
After soap factory we shall drive along the coastal island road to reach village Pučišća where the famous Masonry school can be found. There you will have a short tour and introduction of the old trade of Masonry famous for its white Brač stone. Leaving Postira and driving across the Island towards the most famous destination on the island – Bol. While driving towards Bol you will be able to enjoy beautiful and diverse nature Island has to offer.
Once we reach Bol, we shall take a stroll towards the most beautiful beach in Croatia – Zlatni rat and stop for a coffee. Afterwards we shall visit the one of the Island’s wineries and try some of the best Croatian wines made of Plavac mali sort.
Returning to Split with a ferry at 6.00 pm from Supetar. Expected to arrive to Split at 6.45 pm.
